Fossil Cartel Staff Bios

    Joan Ruby Lawhead - Manager

Joan has been a member of the Fossil Cartel team since 1999. Joan is known in the shop as our "Metaphysical Mama."  She is our local expert on all things healing.

   Kelley Harmon - Assistant Manager - Field Trip Coordinator

Kelley has been a member of the Fossil Cartel team since May 2003.  She is a rockhounding enthusiast and hosts the stores Rockhounding Field Trips. She is currently pursuing a graduate gemologist degree from The Gemological Institure of America. Kelley also enjoys glass lampworking, gardening, and long walks on rocky beaches.

   Lars Johnson - Assistant Field Trip Coordinator

Lars has been a member of the Fossil Cartel team since April 2006. Before joining the Fossil Cartel, Lars owned his own rock and mineral business in Olympia, Washington. Lars moved to the Portland area from Olympia in October 2005. He grew up in the Northwest and is an avid rockhound and amateur lapidary . He is also an accomplished bassist and drummer. Lars hopes someday to operate his very own sunstone mine.
